Dr.A.S.Firoz Chief Economist with Ministry of Steel Govt of India has confirmed participation in 3rd Steel Long Products Summit organised by steelgroup as a Key Note Speaker on mainly global and specific to Bangladesh and Indian Steel market.

Dr. A S Firoz has extensive experience working on global macro economic development and the steel and natural resource industries in particular. He is known worldwide for his analysis of the steel, iron ore and coal market.

During his sabbatical from the current regular position in the government, he worked with a large number of global steel and groups for development of their strategic plans for India. He was also associated with many other research organisations such as . His multi-client studies found huge response and were used by a large number of business entities and research organisations worldwide.

He is also Member Convenor of Steel Exporters’ Forum of India. He has held many important positions in high level committees/ expert groups and organizations set up by the Government of India. He played a key role in the formulation of the Five Year Plans and steel policies of the government of India.
